Lord Lister – Planning Application – Statement from James O’Grady, CEO, Keystage Housing.

We want to thank those councillors and everyone who supported our application to support those individuals faced with the prospect of sleeping on the streets of North Hertfordshire .

Homelessness is a complex issue. We firmly believe that everyone facing displacement has the opportunity to be supported in a dignified way and to be able to find a positive pathway to a better future. This can only be achieved through the right sites and the right support services such as those offered by Keystage Housing.

We will continue to work alongside those who live in close proximity to the Lord Lister, and with the wider community, to ensure that any concerns and issues are mitigated and handled swiftly and with respect and dignity to all those involved. We have robust processes in place, and a highly trained team on hand to implement the right measures to ensure the Lord Lister works for all.

The approval of our planning application enables us to provide vital support services to those who need it most. We remain committed to finding the right place for the right person at the right time as we continue towards our goal of ending the revolving door of homelessness.
