David Yeboah

David has been working in the care sector for approximately 9–10 years. He first began his career as a care assistant in a care home and as a support worker in a residential setting, gradually progressing into management roles within the adult care sector. Throughout his years in the field, he has gained considerable skills, knowledge, and experience, which continue to underpin his commitment to ensuring that service users’ needs and outcomes are met.

Throughout his experience, he has been responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of care services, ensuring that care delivery meets both organisational expectations and regulatory requirements. His role has included leading staff teams, managing safeguarding responsibilities, and coordinating care plans.

A key learning from his professional life is the importance of communication, both with his team and with service users and their families, as this ensures effective partnership working in delivering positive outcomes.

Overall, his career demonstrates leadership, effective compliance, and a strong foundation focused on ensuring that service users’ needs and outcomes continue to be met. He was drawn to Keystage Housing due to the organisation’s ethos of ending the revolving door around homelessness, which closely aligns with his own values. The organisation’s principles opportunity, creativity, belief, kindness, and integrity—strongly resonate with his professional beliefs.

He initially joined Keystage Housing as a Service Manager, managing one of its newly rebuilt services, Studley House. He has now been with the organisation for over a year. In his role at Studley House, he worked closely with internal and external partners, agencies, and commissioners, including Rough Sleeping Outreach Teams, Supported Accommodation services, Probation Services, Drug and Alcohol Services, and the Local Authority. His responsibilities included creating robust risk assessments to manage service users’ care and support delivery, maintaining continuous records of service user contact, and developing resettlement plans. He also worked consistently with staff teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment with the wider management team.

Currently, David is the Locality Manager for all of Keystage Housing’s complex needs services. In this role, he supports the Regional Manager in leading, planning, monitoring, and evaluating services to ensure high-quality support that meets service objectives and requirements. He leads and supports service delivery and daily operations, ensuring safe, secure, and high-quality accommodation with person-centred support. His responsibilities also include monitoring income and expenditure, including housing benefit, funding, and maintenance costs, and ensuring occupancy levels meet set targets or are supported by robust performance plans.

He works in partnership with relevant professionals, agencies, and providers to ensure that appropriate support is available to service users. A key focus is maximising effective communication across all partnerships to achieve desired outcomes for individuals. His work also contributes to increasing access to private sector accommodation and improving successful move-ons into private tenancies. Through continuous development of sustainable pathways out of homelessness, combining multi-level support and empowering individuals, he supports long-term stability for service users.

Looking ahead, David hopes to continue growing within Keystage Housing, taking on greater responsibility and making a meaningful long-term impact on the organisation’s objectives and targets. He also aims to continue building strong relationships and developing initiatives that support service users’ needs and outcomes.

Outside of work, he enjoys playing football, video games, watching movies, and spending time with his family.
